Scrappy Pumpkin Table Runners and Pillow Covers

I have finished the two table toppers and the two pillow covers!

It is difficult to get the quilting to show on the black background, so I didn’t get too fancy with it.

One runner has five pumpkins, the other four. The amount of pumpkin blocks depended upon the size of my cabinets.

The backing… I have lots of this fabric and I am trying to use it up.

All dressed up for the season!

Pumpkin Pillows

It is hard to tell, but the backing for the white/grey pumpkin is a print of ghosts and pumpkins.

Scrappy Pumpkin Table Runners and Pillow Covers

I am enjoying working on seasonal projects and using up stash at the same time!

I found an easy pumpkin tutorial shared by Amy Smart and it has been fun to make!

Pumpkin Table Runners

I am making two table runners to fit two different cabinets in my home.

I am also making two different pillow covers for the couch.

I added enough black squares (great to use them up) to make them the size that I need for the pillow forms that I have.

On to the not so fun part; making batting the sizes that I need from the scraps that I have.

Frankenbatt…appropriate for the season!

Bowl Cozies, a Potato Bag, and a Rail Fence

I have made bowl cozies before, but they were all given away as gifts.

It is nearly chili and soup weather!

Bowl Cozy

When the Hubster figured out that I was making bowl cozies, he got excited.

We are going to be using these!

I have also made potato bags and given them away.

I needed another for a quick gift and it sure doesn’t take long to make these!

Potato Bag

One of the things that I wanted to do this year was use up some of my hand dyes.

I have chosen Bonnie Hunter’s Checkerboard Rails pattern to help me out.

Rail Fence

This is very easy sewing and I think I have enough rail fence blocks made for a good-sized quilt.

I do need to make more four patches and then I will lay this out and see if I have enough.
