Chookshed Stitchers 2024 Challenge – April Update

For the Chookshed Stitchers challenge in April, the number 9 was drawn. My number 9 is to make a table runner.

You can see my project list here.

I decided to make a table runner using the Golden Peaks block. Julie Cefalu, of The Crafty Quilter, shared a great tutorial of this block.

The block is versatile and fun to play with.

I like every layout that I tried, but I did finally choose one.

The blocks are sewn together, and pinned into a quilt sandwich waiting for quilting.

  4. Those bicycles are a perfect addition to the overall appearance – just a teeny bit of yellow to make the red, blue, navy (?) sparkle. After your latest finish, this must feel like a breezy ‘challenge’!
