For the Chookshed Stitchers challenge in April, the number 9 was drawn. My number 9 is to make a table runner.
You can see my project list here.
I decided to make a table runner using the Golden Peaks block. Julie Cefalu, of The Crafty Quilter, shared a great tutorial of this block.
The block is versatile and fun to play with.
I like every layout that I tried, but I did finally choose one.
The blocks are sewn together, and pinned into a quilt sandwich waiting for quilting.

I’ve made several of Julie’s patterns, Kathleen, so I guess I love them, too! This one is a fun, versatile one! 🙂

Those bicycles are a perfect addition to the overall appearance – just a teeny bit of yellow to make the red, blue, navy (?) sparkle. After your latest finish, this must feel like a breezy ‘challenge’!

I have been thinking about how to use the bicycles and I wanted a table runner that didn’t look like a seasonal holiday. I like how it is turning out. 🙂
