I stated in a previous post that I wanted to use up some of my hand dyed fabric, and I chose Bonnie Hunter’s Checkerboard Rails pattern to do it.
I had gotten this far:
Since then, I have made 142 blocks (assuming I counted right).
Layout has begun!
I can’t show the entire layout, since my wall space isn’t big enough, but you get the idea where I am going with this.

I have made bowl cozies before, but they were all given away as gifts.
It is nearly chili and soup weather!
When the Hubster figured out that I was making bowl cozies, he got excited.
We are going to be using these!
I have also made potato bags and given them away.
I needed another for a quick gift and it sure doesn’t take long to make these!

This is very easy sewing and I think I have enough rail fence blocks made for a good-sized quilt.
I do need to make more four patches and then I will lay this out and see if I have enough.

The Baptist Fan quilting and binding are finished!
The quilt size is 77″ x 94″…plenty to snuggle under!
I have washed it so that I could have the texture from the quilting.
The back is pieced and the quilting shows up nicely.
I love it!
