May flew by too fast! I spent very little time in the sewing studio, but I did make some progress with my Chookshed Stitchers 2024 Challenge.
Number 5 was drawn, and my number 5 is to make unicorn pillows. My project list is posted here.
However, I decided not to make the pillows, but to make the pattern as is, and I shared the start of that in the May post here.
I have traced the pattern and cut out fusible templates.
I know that it is difficult to see the tracing, but once I start adding the fabric, you can definitely see the progress.
This is as far as I have gotten.
In this post, Chookshed Stitchers 2024 Challenge – April Update, I shared my projects progress from January to April.
I had so much fun making jelly from lilac blossoms, that I decided to try some other new-to-me jellies.
Pictured below are Peony Jelly and Acai Berry Tea Jelly. Some of these jellies will be going into the gift box. Yum!
I am linking up with other challenge participants over at Dreamworthy Quilts for the May updates.
Have fun and carry on!

Great start to the unicorn quilt! It’s so fun and cheerful.

Acai jelly sounds wonderful – perhaps you’ll be trying out a lavender version, too?

It just so happens that I have some leftover dried lavender buds, Laura. I am thinking about combining them with Earl Grey tea and maybe even some vanilla for a jelly. 🙂

It has been fun, too, Sharon! The Hubster and I also spent an entire day with 92 year old Mom visiting an Aunt (she was in the hospital) and various cemeteries and gravesites. Not something I would blog about, but I know you would understand (being interested in genealogy). We had a great outing! 🙂

Laura, I am pretty behind in updating the Chookshed accomplishments post and reading blogs. I guess I have been off playing too much. I did add your pillow progress to the list. Great job!
I have enjoyed getting to know you as part of the group and appreciate your correspondence. Keep up the good work and happy posts!
