Fall Moon Embroidery Update

My Chookshed Stitchers 2024 Challenge for June was number 10. I didn’t get it finished, but I did work on it in August and I have finished it.

Fall Moon Embroidery

The embroidered piece is dimensional, but hard to show with a flat photograph.

The tree is a wool thread, and the rest of the piece is stitched with rayon threads from EdMar.

I’ve made mistakes, but I am happy with the results.

Fall Moon Embroidery

The piece is finished! It has only been on the to-do list since at least 2021 (and I have had this pattern for a whole longer)!

Fall Moon Embroidery

A press, a frame, and then I can have it on display for the fall season!

Have fun and carry on!

  1. This is wonderful, Laura. The texture adds so much to the overall composition and subject matter IMHO. I am partial to anything Fall related – adding the moon and tiny black cat are subtle references to frisky festivities of the season. HA! Congrats on the finish – the stitching was no doubt time consuming but worth the effort.

It is a beautiful piece. Will you do the framing? So great to have finished it as part of the challenge!
