In January, I joined up with the Chookshed Stitchers 2024 Challenge for the motivation to move projects forward, and maybe even finish a few. It has been fun and I’ve even accomplished a few things!
Participants publicly posted a list of 10 numbered projects. Each month a number is drawn, and the corresponding project is worked on. There are linkups where projects can be posted and participants can cheer one another on.
June is Number 10. My Number 10 is to move an old embroidery project forward. I cannot even say how old…maybe from the ’90’s.
I like the project, so why have I shelved it for so long?
I painted the moon. No problem.
Those clouds.
I don’t like the look of my stitches.
I will evaluate and see if I can continue doing what I was doing (and maybe I will like the clouds when they are completed), or I rip out what I started and try another type of stitch.
Once that decision is made, then I can move this thing forward!

Hard to tell in the picture, but it looks almost done. Sometimes in stitching you have to look at results as learning experiences and move on. Good luck!

I have always liked it, Sharon; just stuck on my darn stitching. Maybe I am being too picky or too hard on myself. 🙂

We tend to put away projects we don’t love. Just make it loveable again in whatever way pleases you. This was a great one to put on the list.
