Bread Baking

Crusty White Stone Baked Bloomer Bread

Poppy Seed and Rye Bread

Sweet Potato and Feta Cheese Bloomer Bread

Cous Cous Plait Rolls Bread

Banana Chocolate Chip Bread

I joined the Homebakers Club last month and these are some of the fruits of my labor.

One of the best ways to meet my new neighbors has always been when I have taken them a fresh loaf of bread and introduced myself. Last Christmas I shared fresh bread with neighbors.

Do you enjoy baking?

Have fun and carry on!

  2. Laura, you are an (he)artist in both the studio and kitchen! Such artisan breads you’ve baked up – I’d gladly move next door just to receive such a warm housewarming treat!
And those quotes…great food for thoughtful living (punny, eh?)

  3. Learning to bake gluten free bread is on my sooner not later list. Just under $8 a loaf at the grocery store.

    • I have baked a few gluten free items, but so far, I am not fond of any of them. I hope you find a recipe that you really enjoy…prices are outrageous!

What beautiful bread!!! I tried making pumpernickel last week and it wasn’t successful. I’ll have to try another recipe…

  7. Those loaves are so lovely! I am trying to perfect Irish bread, but haven’t made a loaf in a few weeks. I always undercook it a bit! If I made that much bread, I would be in seriously trouble….as I love it and would eat it all!

    • I am in serious trouble, Kathleen! LOL!

I haven’t made an Irish bread. I should give that a try. I also tend to underbake. I need to work on that! 🙂

  9. Those breads look delicious – shame we don’t have smelly vision as I’m sure they must have given off mouth-watering aromas. Cooking is one area of domesticity that has never interested me – I just have a few set recipes on repeat! But sharing food as a way of forging friendships with neighbours is a great idea.
