Fort Worden State Park

The pictures shown in yesterday’s post were taken at Fort Worden State Park located near Port Townsend.

It is a wonderful historic place to visit.

Fort Worden was an active US Army base from 1902 to 1953.  It was named in honor of U.S. Naval Rear Admiral John Lorimer Worden.

Fort Worden was built as a strategic defense for Puget Sound.

Lucky me.  I’ve caught a head cold.  I am too tired to show more.  I do have some photos from the museum at the Commanding Officer’s home.  I’ll try to post those soon.

  2. Laura,

From my recent experience I would advise that it is preferable to save the head cold, or any other illness, until after the holiday is over and you are safe and comfortable at home!
