Shamrock Table Toppers

I have three small cabinets that have table tops that measure 15″ x 18″ and I like to switch out seasonal table toppers on them.

I didn’t have anything for St. Patrick’s Day, so I did some internet surfing and found Joanna Figueroa’s (Fig Tree & Company) Lucky Shamrock free quilt block.

I dug into the green and white scraps and, ta-da!

Three St. Patrick’s Day table toppers!

No fancy quilting; just keeping it simple.

I am looking forward to green outdoors, and I am finding some green shoots sprouting!

Spring is coming!

Sewing Studio Table Runners

I adapted the Mini Charm Mix free table runner pattern to make two table runners to fit two sets of shelves that the Hubster had built for my sewing studio.

The pattern is easy to follow.

It also includes size charts for a baby quilt and a lap sized quilt.

Go scrappy, seasonal, or use a controlled color scheme…this works with it all!

I chose fabrics to match the sewing machine cover and the sewing machine mat that I made previously for my decompression chamber (aka…the sewing studio).

I have metal magazine holders, and I did not want them scratching up my newly painted shelves!

I have not gotten magazines since 2006, and I have decluttered quite a bit, but I do have some oldies but goodies that I still enjoy.

The Hubster will be putting peg board up in these odd shaped spaces.

HQAL February 2025

I have done absolutely nothing with the Beez embroidery project this month.

Here is where I was, and here is where I still am:

Beez By Tricia Cribbs Embroidery Design

That is not to say that I haven’t done any handwork during this very short month!

Surprise!

I have gotten out the Garden Basket project!

Here is where I was:

After finishing appliqueing the leaves on a border this month, I was delighted to find that I only have one border left to finish!

I was so sure that I had only completed two borders!

Happy, happy dance!

Garden Baskets

I now have the last border of leaves all pinned and ready to stitch (which may, or may not, happen any time soon).

How about you?

Have you been able to move a project forward this month?

Have fun and carry on!

This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another.  If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.
