Beez By Tricia Cribbs Embroidery Design

Just for fun, I fused petal shapes to each block.

And I machine embroidered each petal (or teardrop, or honey drop) to its background.

Cute!

Now, the bane of my current existence…how to finish this thing.

Narrow black sashing? Black with white polka dots? Medium blue sashing?

Dark blue narrow sashing?

Various white prints?

How about no sashing? Or that light grey bee print?

I give up.

This project is not done marinating.

Have fun and carry on!

Pick any one, maybe the first thought you had, and they’ll look great!

Those are such cute blocks, Laura! I love the blue and yellow and the teardrop shapes in the corners. That next decision is a hard one! Maybe the narrow black sashing that matches the inner border? This is going to be a fun quilt, no matter what you choose!

    • Thanks for sharing your opinion, Diann! My first choice was narrow black sashing, so maybe I will stick to that. Or none. I don’t like any of the other choices. 😁

  3. The blocks are really cute. Don’t like the white sashing. Solid black looks heavy in the picture, but the black & white print looks OK. It all may look different in person. Maybe none at all, so the diagonal lines created by the block frames aren’t broken.

Look forward to seeing what you choose.

  5. I was thinking black the same width as the sashing for the embroidered blocks. This will be so cute!

  6. Marinate it must…but my choices would be the black and white polka dots or nothing. I like the way both of those look….it does look great…but keep thinking on it and it will come to you which you really like!

  7. I like the black and white dots, too, but thinking that they might be too busy. I also like the flow of the blue and yellow without sashing. I dunno, Kathleen. Good thing that I am taking time out on vacation! πŸ˜‰
