A Stroll in the Garden – Closeup for Deb

I posted this photo in my previous garden post and Deb asked me to share what, exactly, she was looking at.

I had intended to crop the photo closer than I did, but I thought that I was losing too much context.

Cropping closer meant losing most of the nest.

This is the original photo:

Deb…not seeds, or bugs. They are a bit out of focus, but you can see, if you click on the photo (and if you also click on the i in the lower right corner and scroll to ‘view full size’), that these are just-hatched spiders.

I don’t know what kind, perhaps what we call cat spiders in my corner of the world.

Thank you for asking!

See the world around you!

  1. Look at all those little spiders! Neat!! However it’s no wonder I have spiders often hiding it the corners of my house!! Sometimes with serious websites.😬😀

    • I admit, arachnids are too creepy for me, and this nest freaked me out. Once I got over the initial reaction, however, I did think it was pretty cool watching them all disperse. 🙂
