Sewing Studio Table Runners

I adapted the Mini Charm Mix free table runner pattern to make two table runners to fit two sets of shelves that the Hubster had built for my sewing studio.

The pattern is easy to follow.

It also includes size charts for a baby quilt and a lap sized quilt.

Go scrappy, seasonal, or use a controlled color scheme…this works with it all!

I chose fabrics to match the sewing machine cover and the sewing machine mat that I made previously for my decompression chamber (aka…the sewing studio).

I have metal magazine holders, and I did not want them scratching up my newly painted shelves!

I have not gotten magazines since 2006, and I have decluttered quite a bit, but I do have some oldies but goodies that I still enjoy.

The Hubster will be putting peg board up in these odd shaped spaces.

Have fun and carry on!

Those are pretty and look perfect for the tops of your shelving! I like how you were able to match them to previous things you’ve made for the sewing studio. It’s definitely a happy place!

  2. Great idea to line shelves with a ‘table runner’ to prevent scratches for items placed on them. I do notice your lime green is with you still! 😉

  3. Those are perfect scratch preventers! I have those same magazine holders in my piano studio! They hold the notebooks I have to keep track of each students progress.

  4. I had to go look, and I don’t have anything under it, but they also don’t move at all. It’s been six months, so the file drawer is safe for the moment, but now you have me thinking🙂.
