My OMG for June is the same as all of the previous months this year, and for the next 6 months as well. Not to fall behind working on the 365 Challenge quilt designed by Kathryn Kerr!
So far, so good!
I am not aiming for perfection (Why aim for the unreachable?), but I am hoping to improve my piecing skills.
Having said that, those last 2 blocks in the photo are my attempts at producing the perfect block. Ha, ha!
I made the darker block first, and it came out too big. There is no way to square it down without losing the points! I remade the block, using a different method, and it is still too big! Argh!
Rather than be frustrated and obsessive about this block, I am going to set it aside. If I need the block when it comes time to sew the top, then I will make a different block (the choices are unlimited and quilting should be fun)!
January completed blocks.
February completed blocks.
March completed blocks.
April completed blocks.
May completed blocks.
I am linking up with Elm Street Quilts OMG. Hop on over there and be inspired by the other goal setters that have linked up! It is inspiring and encouraging!
Quilt On!

You’re challenging yourself to hone your skills, which is fantastic! As for the eventual end result of the quilt top? It will all come together when the time comes for that. 🙂
…meanwhile the take away here for me (I’m having a hard time finishing a donation quilt Chela announced for the Uvalde community https://tierneycreates.com/2022/06/07/comfort-quilts-needed/): “…and quilting should be fun”

There are so many worthy organizations and people in need of charitable items. You are doing a great thing, Laura! I know that it takes time, effort, and funds but there will be blessings in the effort! 🙂

Isn’t it amazing how many different blocks are possible? It will be such a cool quilt when it’s finished.

They should be a great contrast to the dark blocks, Kathy! That’s the goal! 🙂

Quilt on, Laura! You’ve got the perfect attitude in my book. No stress – it’s one block that may or may not be needed. Your blocks look fab to me! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
