I have peacefully embroidered the letters ‘K’, ‘L’, ‘M’, ‘N’ and ‘O’ since last Sunday’s sweet slow stitching session.
It is just so wonderful to sit and enjoy the rhythm of stitching while enjoying a quiet time sitting in the shade outdoors.
I love to listen to the hum of the bees and the songs of the birds.
It is a restoration of the soul after a very busy, stressful week.
Maybe you should slow down, too?
Are you slow stitching today? Check out the link up at Slow Sunday Stitching! There are lots of fun projects by like minded stitchers to see!
Stay healthy! Stay safe!

Those are so pretty! I don’t take my stitching outside often enough, and I really should. Your post is a good reminder!

I am going outside this afternoon, too! We’ve had glorious weather with perfect temps these past couple of days…it’s so refreshing to be outside stitching…especially with the weeding done!!!😆

Well you see, I had to get to the border and find the irises, and then find the cantaloupe in the alley way. We took two Rubbermaid trash barrels to the the green waste collection site!😳 The alfalfa we put down in the garden has really kept the weeds down, so it’s pretty easy.

Is there an outside???? LOL. Outside here is no breeze and in the 100’s and getting hotter this week. Looks like August will be a scorcher.
Laura your stitches are so pretty and you are making great progress.

We have reached 100 here as well, Nanette. I can only stitch outside on Sunday mornings. I work the other six days, and by the time that I am off work, it is way too hot to be outdoors. No rain/relief is expected for August.
Thank you for the compliments! Fortunately, this stitching is quite easy…just what I need! 🙂

Thank you, Margaret! This is a fun little project! Nothing too complicated like your wonderful challenging projects! 🙂
I may try something more challenging next. I do have some Brazilian embroidery UFO’s to do.

Aha, I see our ‘L’ was ‘simply slow stitched’ with no fanfare…hopefully our ‘Laura’ hurricane name will claim the same status here sooner than later (Isaias seems to be gearing down to a mere tropical storm for us here in SC).
Enjoy the rest of your ‘slow – Sunday’

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always been low-key, so hopefully ‘our’ hurricane will be, too. 🙂

Only in the mornings, Donna. Temps are in the upper 90’s and has reached 103 degrees. But that is okay…I will enjoy what I can get! 🙂
