I joined Julie Cefalu’s Disappearing Nine Patch Quilt Along, and have really enjoyed the process.
I have completed turning my 20 nine patch blocks into disappearing nine patch blocks. Fun!
I have also sewn all of these blocks into a flimsy! It was windy, but I did manage to get a couple of photos.
Julie has a link up for her participants. I am headed over there to see all of the fun variations that are linked up!

What a sweet fabric collection for your Disappearing 9 Patch. I love it.

Hi Laura! How exciting to have come so far so quickly on this quilt top. I’ve discovered since I haven’t actually made a disappearing 9-patch myself, that there are a LOT of different layouts those cut-apart pieces can be placed in. I think your quilt top looks just fabulous. The colors are refreshing and look like summer to me. Now you’ll have to quilt it and I can’t wait to see what design you pick. ~smile~ Roseanne

Thank you, Roseanne! I’ve been looking at quilted D9Ps to get inspiration for mine. I do have a simple (I hope) all over design in mind, but I am ‘shopping’ around first…and I am waiting for Julie’s post on quilting our tops.
There are a lot of fun variations, for sure. I like this one just because it seemed to showcase the dark, medium and light the best to me.

So many interesting patterns to find looking at your flimsy. I do like the limited colour palette you have used.

Thank you! I thought about going really scrappy, and I’d like to do that sometime, but I stayed focused so that I could use up these particular fabrics. 🙂
