Life is about growth and exploration, not achieving a fixed state of balance. You have a very limited time on earth to experience all that you can. Figuring out how to squeeze the most out of your family, work, and spirituality is your life’s purpose. Go do it. -Mel Robbins

Larkspur

Everything about your life, about your body, grows! Your cells regenerate; your hair, your nails, everything grows for your entire life. And your soul needs exploration and growth. And the only way you’ll get it is by forcing yourself to be uncomfortable. Forcing yourself to get outside, out of your head. -Mel Robbins

My father was a world-class scientist and my mother was a prolific painter. I could see that my parents had completely different ways of knowing and understanding the world, and relating to it. My father approached things through scientific inquiry and exploration, while my mother experienced things through her emotions and senses. -Jon Kabat-Zinn

Hubby and I depend upon a gravity spring for our water.  This year the spring was not enough for the house and the gardens.  So we decided that it was time to put in a well.

We’ve waited.

And waited.

Finally, this week, this happened:

Home Sweet Home -Drilling

There is a stake showing where to drill.  Meanwhile, the excavation had to happen in order to bring in the drilling equipment (not so easy when one lives on the side of a mountain).

Looking down to our driveway (lost one pear, and one apple tree to the excavation):
