April 2022 OMG

My main April sewing goal is to complete all of April’s 365 Challenge blocks…I am doing my best not to fall behind with the project!

January completed blocks.

February completed blocks.

March completed blocks.

The great news is that Betty Boop is home! We have a lot to catch up on (she is my only machine that can sew decorative stitches)!

Birdhouse Wall Hanging

It seems that the last time that I showed the Birdhouse UFO was back in October of 2020. Remember it? The only reason that I remember it is because I left it on the design wall instead of burying it back in a basket.

The plan is to stitch all of the applique down this month. The birdhouse was hand stitched forever ago, and I have begun to stitch the rest with Betty Boop’s help.

Fun for those in the US only, here is a Pampered Chef invite (one of my favorite kitchen tools is their whisk…maybe you need one):

You’re invited to an Un-Party. Don’t miss out on the fun! Just go to this link and order what you want! No sales pitch, no pressure, shop at your leisure from home, don’t have to dress up and you will get your products shipped directly to your home!

March 2022 OMG Update

I wasn’t home to declare a March OMG goal, but I have one. I wanted to complete all of the March 365 Challenge blocks.

And so I have.

I have also finished most of the STID (stitch-in-the-ditch) on my daughter’s patriotic quilt. The majority of the basting pins have been removed.

I shared about this quilt in this post.

The quilt sandwich is stable now (the layers are secure), and some of the weight is lightened without those pins.

The quilt is now marinating while I decide how to quilt it.

Most of the snow is gone, and the past couple of days have been warm (upper 50’s and 60 degrees). I am so excited to be home to enjoy spring! I’ve been out raking and discovering lots of spring bulbs popping up!

I am linking up with OMG at Elm Street Quilts. Hop on over there and check out the wonderful projects that others are doing!

February 2022 OMG Update

I did not make my February OMG goal.

Instead, Hubby and I drove across the state to visit our son and his fam.

I did get some sewing accomplished before making this unexpected trip, but I have no photos of it.

Winter North Cascades

We had a gorgeous day for traveling!

As we were crossing Snoqualmie Pass, I snapped a few quick photos with my camera phone.

Hubby is driving back home to deal with some plumbing issues (lucky him) and I am staying here (I think I am luckier).

So no project progress photos for awhile, and that is okay.

Enjoy your families!

Stay healthy!

Stay safe!
