Bow Tie Leader/Enders

The Baptist Fan quilting and binding are finished!

The quilt size is 77″ x 94″…plenty to snuggle under!

I have washed it so that I could have the texture from the quilting.

The back is pieced and the quilting shows up nicely.

Bow Tie Leader/Ender Update

In my previous update, I shared that I was sewing the little bow tie blocks into large 8 x 8 blocks.

I have now sewn all but six little bow ties into a flimsy.

When I was finished, and hung the flimsy up to take a photograph, I realized that I had miscalculated.  This monster is approximately 75″ x 100″.

What was I thinking????

But the six leftover blocks make a cute 9.5″ orphan block!

Bow Tie and Floral Reflections Updates

In my last post, I settled on a bow tie layout.  Since then I have sewn the 3.5″ bow tie blocks into groups of 16 (4 x 4), and then into a larger block of 64 (8 x 8).  I have two of those big blocks finished, and I definitely like what I see.

I am hoping that I made enough bow tie blocks to sew into 12 of these bigger blocks for a quilt.

Remember the Floral Reflections project?

Floral Reflections

All of the stitching in the ditch is done.  All of the outline stitching is finished.  All of the basting pins are removed.

Time to get serious about how to quilt this baby.

* Just a quick note…progress is likely to be slower than my usual slow.  I will be working seven days a week.  It isn’t scheduled yet, but it is inevitable until after the holidays.
