Mark Lipinski’s Liquid Spray Starch Recipe:
* An economical recipe…easily make more starch from one bottle of liquid starch.
Dissolve 4 tablespoons of liquid starch into 2 cups of cold water. Boil 1 quart of water. Add the starch mixture to the boiling water and return the mixture to a boil; remove from heat immediately.
Add 2 more cups of cold water to the mixture.
Starch should be clear and not milky. Store in a mist spray bottle. Store in the
refrigerator.
Mary Ellen’s Liquid Starch Recipe:
2 cups distilled water
2 ounces vodka
20 drops lavender essential oil (optional, or use scent of choice)
Shake well before using.
Homemade Starch
1- 1/2 tablespoons of cornstarch
3- 1/3 cups cool water
2 drops lavender essential oil
plastic spray bottle
Pour water into bottle, add cornstarch and essential oil drops. Shake.
This starch recipe makes a medium-light starch. Add more cornstarch for a heavier mix.
Erin Russek’s Applique Starch Recipe:
Mix one quarter cup StayFlo starch to one and a half cups water (may need to adjust). If the shape is so stiff you can’t sew through it then use more water. If the shape won’t hold its shape, use more starch.

Just what I was looking for! I make the Mary Ellen’s Starch Recipe but had misplaced it. I think I’ll try the Homemade Starch recipe too. Thank you so much for sharing these recipes.
