HQAL August 2025

Every third Sunday sure comes around in a hurry!

A reminder of where I was when I shared three Sundays ago:

I finished that block.

The next block in the frame and ready to stitch:

I finished that block, too!

The last block is in the frame.

This one won’t be done for awhile, unless I decide to bring it with me on a cross-country trip.

We’ll see.

    • You got it Sharon! North Carolina here we come! I am excited to see daughter and fam soon! We can’t leave just yet, since we are waiting on a crew to put in new kitchen counters. Hopefully, that will be done next week and then the Hubster and I are on our way! 🙂

  2. Enjoy your trip. I find hand work travels well, but I never stitch in the car.

    • When I was younger, I stitched in the car everywhere we went, Donna. The old eyes don’t seem to take to that anymore. Ha, ha! I do try sometimes, but I don’t accomplish much. 🙂

  3. I’d take it, because you never know when you might have some down time and want a little project. I was shocked how much I got done while visiting during our trip to Montana. These are just soooo cute!

    • You are right, Kathy! And that is why you get more accomplished than I do! Ha, ha!

I have been thinking about how I want to piece these cuties together. I have some ideas, but haven’t settled on anything yet. 🙂

  4. Wow! You got a lot done!! Those blocks charm me every time!
Happy travels and welcome to the east coast!! We are to have cooler weather , so hope it makes for a wonderful visit.
Can’t say I can encourage you with stitching while traveling .. I get carsick doing such things, so I just enjoy the scenery.

    • The weather is one of the main reasons that I go to the east coast at this time of the year, Deb. All of my trips back east have been in the fall and winter. Currently it is in the upper 90’s and very dry where I live. Fires everywhere and lots of smoke. I look forward to a change! I also enjoy the scenery…that is another main reason for travel after all. I want to see things, not have my eyes on a device, or anything to distract me from the view. 🙂

  5. Very cute, I’d pack it for that spare half hour, but then I always have some stitching in my bag. Enjoy your trip.

    • I will probably pack it, Margaret, but I won’t be working on it while driving. That just doesn’t seem to work for me anymore. Thank you…I am looking forward to this trip and seeing the fam! 🙂
