Fabric Bucket/Basket

I need a basket for my tea things, so I thought that I would make one.

Fabric Bucket/Basket

Cute basket, but I should have paid more attention to what size I need.

This one is too small and I will be making a bigger size.

I like the basket, and I will find a purpose for it!

The little teacup is quite fragile. My grandmother served hot chocolate to my mother when she was a little girl. I have the whole set; the pot, the sugar bowl, the creamer, and four cups and saucers. I don’t use the set. I just enjoy having it.

Personally, I prefer a nice big mug of tea! How about you? Do you have a favorite teacup or mug for your beverage?

  1. I enjoy making fabric bins/buckets. Yours is lovely, but I really love that little teacup and the story behind it.

  2. I have about 5 mugs I rotate, but I do have one special cup and saucer set with a matching tea pot for days when I need something special. Is that sourdough I see?

  3. I love the tea cozy you made. It matches the teacup beautifully. I hope you have some more of that fabric to make the larger size. I do have special cup I use gifted by a grandchild, neglecting others just as special. I believe I have seen that set while out antiquing. I love heirloom pieces and this set is truly special. Quit on (wink wink)

    • A cup gifted by a grandchild is very precious!

I have never researched the tea set, Sharon. Perhaps I should, but the value is in the sentiment for me. 🙂

  4. Lovely fabric basket! Thanks for sharing your tea cup story! I just use an insulated mug that I can sip on all day if I wish. I do have three glasses that have flowers on them from my grandma. I remember sitting at her table ,usually Sunday dinner, thinking just how pretty they were . I still think that, and no I don’t use them just show them off.
