Here is where I was in the previous HQAL post:
You might not notice the difference, so I will point that out for you.
Compare the right side borders of both the 1st and 2nd photos. In the first, some of those leaves are white. That means that they have freezer paper on top, and are prepped for stitching. In the 2nd photo, those leaves are stitched and the freezer paper is removed.
This means that the quilt top is finished and is now marinating until time for quilting.
I am so happy to have reached this accomplishment!
I inherited these 3 fleece blanket kits from Mom, and they were my next project.
My granddaughter wants to make the kitty blanket. Yay! That left me with only 2 of these projects to make!
I made the cute snowman blanket first, and it is already gifted!
Next, I made the paisley blanket. It isn’t gifted yet, and I might just keep it handy for myself, or a guest, to cozy up with a book, or a movie.
This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another. If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.

Quilt on!

Happy dancing for you Laura! Those leaves seem to go on forever, but they make such an incredible border; the black really make them pop. And already finished with another project!

Thank you, Diann! Hopefully, it doesn’t need to marinate too long before quilting, but good weather is coming! 🙂

Don’t blame you for keeping a blanket , as they do look so cozy to curl up under.

It is still cool in my neck of the woods, and I will cozy up with the paisley blanket when I watch tv tonight, Deb! Soon, however, it is going to be summer weather…can’t wait! 🙂

Well worth the ‘extra mile’ – all the time and effort to get it just right. I like the kitty, too! (those nestlings haven’t a clue)

I admit it. It was worth it. Ha, ha! I do hope the nestlings are out of reach of that ginger kitty! 🙂
