I have stitched up the last of the pillowcases!
They have all been boxed up and delivered.
All 137 of them!
The Hubster helped me to deliver them to Shriners Children’s Hospital-Spokane.
I have a soft spot for Shriners because they were a blessing to my family several years ago. I highly recommend them!
Now that the pillowcase marathon is over, I was thinking about about what to do next.
I realized that I spent the first quarter of the year on decluttering and donations.
Sticking with a quarterly schedule, I am going to spend the next quarter on one, or two, unfinished sewing projects. Maybe even start a new project.
I am going to sew at a more relaxed pace, especially since spring is here, and I want to be outdoors.
The year is young yet. How are you doing with your goals?
Have fun and carry on!

Why 137? Just wondering!
What a fantastic donation, Laura. Quality work given in appreciation for the love & care of your family when needed….hugs

137 is an odd number (no pun intended). It is simply what I ended up with after cutting as many kits as I could get out of the fabrics that I wanted to use and move out of the sewing studio.
This was a fun project to do, Laura. 🙂

Not amazing, Sharon…just looking for useful ways to use up a surplus of fabric. What’s next? Nothing exciting…gonna work on some ufos and get outside when spring beckons. Oh…I do have one exciting event! The fam from NC is visiting in April! I know you can relate to that! 🙂

That is such a fabulous donation and a great decluttering effort. I am sure they are grateful for them. Places like that are a blessing when you need them. I am working hard to destash again this year, and need to plan some projects for a quilt retreat!
