I have done absolutely nothing with the Beez embroidery project this month.
Here is where I was, and here is where I still am:
That is not to say that I haven’t done any handwork during this very short month!
Surprise!
I have gotten out the Garden Basket project!
Here is where I was:
After finishing appliqueing the leaves on a border this month, I was delighted to find that I only have one border left to finish!
I was so sure that I had only completed two borders!
Happy, happy dance!
I now have the last border of leaves all pinned and ready to stitch (which may, or may not, happen any time soon).
How about you?
Have you been able to move a project forward this month?

Well, Garden Baskets absolutely qualifies as hand quilting, so you got TONS done Laura! I would encourage you to continue with this, maybe a leaf a day I’d you can leave it out for easy access?

I love happy surprises…. a different project and that you were further along than you thought. It is gorgeous and deserves the time it takes to finish it. Keep on sewing when you can!

The border absolutely makes this quilt. It is worth every stitch!!!
Years ago I decided I would do a pieced or applique’ border on every quilt. No, that didn’t happen, but it really can make a basic quilt come to life.

I agree, Deana! I used to do a lot of applique, and I really enjoyed it. I think the older that I get, the faster the time goes by, and the more my hands hurt, so more of the applique that I do, is done faster by machine. I sure do love your applique projects! đŸ™‚
