Scenic Drive

The Hubster and I took advantage of a beautiful day this last week and took a scenic drive around our neighborhood.

  2. Those kind of drives are the best! When we were up north last weekend, all the waterfalls along the way were frozen.

  3. Your neighborhood rates A+ in my book! That barn is quite a show stopper – not only in form and how it ‘aged/sagged’ over time (yikes, almost sounds like human forms!), but the texture contrasts amongst the metal roof, shingles and siding woods. Wow!

    • I think my neighborhood is an A+, too! The barn was amazing! Not just a sag in the middle, but that wonderful curvature and, yes, all of that texture. Irresistible! I have no idea how old it is, but I hope it lasts a good long while yet! 🙂

Beautiful scenery! I love those kinds of drives. I loved your quotes, too. My favorite is Tolkien’s: Not all those who wander are lost.

    • The barn is certainly a great setting for a quilt photo op, Eva! I have no idea who the owner is, or what the history is. I sure do love the wonderful setting! 🙂

  11. What a beautiful place to call home! That old barn looks as though it has warped and sunk to become part of the natural landscape.
