I am enjoying working on seasonal projects and using up stash at the same time!
I found an easy pumpkin tutorial shared by Amy Smart and it has been fun to make!
*Clicking on a photo will give you a closer look!
I am making two table runners to fit two different cabinets in my home.
I am also making two different pillow covers for the couch.
I added enough black squares (great to use them up) to make them the size that I need for the pillow forms that I have.
On to the not so fun part; making batting the sizes that I need from the scraps that I have.
Frankenbatt…appropriate for the season!
Have fun and carry on!

Love your table runners. I like your fabric choices.

Those fabric choices are based upon scraps on hand. Thank you! 🙂

I’ve been putting off finishing some projects for the same reason – franken batting! Haha. Those pumpkin runners are very cute!

I’ve put a pretty good dent in my batting scraps, Wendy! Glad to know that I am not alone in this particular project. 🙂

Oh, now this is cute. Cute, cute, CUTE. I just love the scrappiness and the black background. They look marvelous on your table, especially with those black chairs! And the gray pumpkin – too sweet! LOVE every bit of this post. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Key phrase here: using up batting with the scrappy projects that use up stash…I’m doing the 18 inch square donation quilts that Roseanne posted about recently and am faced with the same dungeon of Frankenbatt!
🙂
Love them pumpkins, Laura.

Cool, Laura! I thought about doing those, but I have 21 doll hospital gowns cut out that I need to get going on. They are next after these pumpkins. No frankenbatt needed! 🙂

Hope we all have a good dentist while putting a good dent into scraps. Yes, I sew together batting always as well to get bigger pieces. Black and orange is always a good colour combination. Love it… and with big regret we have to say good bye to summer … but fall will hopefully nice. Thanks for sharing!
