All ten Hen Party blocks are fused.
That was the easy and fun part.
Block 10:
The next part of the process will be to stitch the applique to the background.
That may take a while.
Since it is summer, and the great outdoors beckons. Are you in your sewing studio or outdoors? I know some of you can take your sewing machines out to sew on your deck. I love that!
I don’t dare. Just the other day, I was minding my own business…enjoying a book on the chaise under the oak tree, when it happened. Plop! Yup. A little birdie pooped on me!
I expect that is more than you wanted to know.
Anyway…too many little birdies around for me to take my sewing project out there.
I do, however, still take my books out to enjoy an afternoon of reading.

We get blanketed every year with wildfire smoke. So far, we had just one day. I sure would love it if smoke were not a normal summer occurrence…like in the good ole days! 🙂

Great use of an unusual shaped wall–design wall! I haven’t sewed outside. Sounds like too much work to get all the equipment to the deck. It’s a novel idea though!

My upstairs has all sorts of unusual shaped walls like that. Watch out, or you will bump your head! I can’t back up to take a straight on better photo or I would fall over the balustrade and down the stairs!
I agree…one does have to haul a lot outside, or else get a lot of exercise going in and out from the machine to the ironing board. 🙂

Congrats on the last hen in the clutch. I sometimes sew on the porch/screened in. Mostly, I sew in my studio…but I am thinking of getting outside with my cross stitching…we shall see.

Those darn birds 🙂 but we love them all the same! Ready to see the next steps with Hen Party. I am trying to get some crafting done early to mid morning inside and then, well its just way to beautiful to stay in and the gardens call for tending. I do get to bring a few things out to work on though. The light is perfect for cross stitching.

It sounds like you have a good plan for your summer routine, Sharon! I like to tend the garden in the morning, otherwise, it is too hot for me to be working outside. So the afternoon is for reading or stitching. 🙂
