When the Hen Party pattern designed by Sindy Rodenmayer of FatCat Patterns first came out, it was offered as a free block of the month.
I collected all of the block patterns to make for someday.
Someday has come, and I am having fun making these funky chicken blocks!
There are 10 blocks total, and I have 3 fused so far.
I will get all 10 blocks fused, and then work on stitching the applique to the background.
No hurry. Just having a cheery little summer project.
I hope it makes you smile, as it does me!
Quilt On!

Great scrap buster! The egg fabrics are perfect.

I love them! You need to give them all a name as you stitch them down! What a fun project!

I hadn’t thought of naming them, Connie, except for one. I see a Grumpy. Ha, ha! 🙂

You could use some really old-fashioned names … Harriette, Claris’s, Henrietta, Doris, Gladys, etc.

Me too! I should’ve gotten this project out a long time ago, but everything has its time I guess. Stress free is vitally important! 🙂

Such a cute project – I am excited to see this come together 🙂 BTW have you thought about joining the hand quilting HQAL that Kathy hosts? Your work is amazing and it would be fun to have you join in 🙂 (just a thought)

Every Sunday, I think about it Sharon! The temptation has been very hard. I am not so good at regular posting…I seem to go in spurts. Ha! I definitely see the value in motivation and encouragement, however. I might step up one of these days. I am really flattered to be asked. You are the second one to ask me. I am listening. 🙂
