Kettle River

Mom spent about 2 weeks with Hubby and I and it rained nearly every day!

All that snow melt and rain made for raging rivers and the Kettle River is no exception.

Since the mouth of the Kettle River empties into the Columbia River very close to where we live (we can see it from our yard), we packed Mom up and took a scenic drive.

  1. Water is powerful and amazing, but heartbreaking when homes are lost. We do enjoy drives in the evenings, taking backroads with no real plan in mind.

  3. Water is a mighty force – be it in rivers or on on the ocean. We had a whole new wall of stone appear on the backshore of our island from the stones washed up on the road in one of last years storms.
