Hubby and I took a drive up to Sherman Pass (named after General Tecumseh Sherman) recently. It was a beautiful day and we wanted to be out in it!

Laura,
Beautiful pictures, I hope you found more than two huckleberries. If you need recipes, let us know, my wife grew up near Mt Adams and has several.

Hey John…happy to hear from you!
There were a few people picking huckleberries while we were hiking, but I would say that all along this trail was fairly picked over. When our kids were still at home we picked huckleberries (not at this location)…we had a tradition of huckleberry pie for Christmas. My favorite way to eat them is frozen…I eat them like candy!
Say hello to Faye! 🙂

#5 from the bottom is so delicate, yet reminiscent of hefty pinecones. What plant is it from?

I do not know this one, Laura. I wish I did…I really like the tiny pinecones…they are about .50 to .75 inches in size. 🙂

I hope they do not change the name as they are changing so many things. Beautiful flowers and enjoyed the “walk” with you! Hugs

I haven’t heard of any proposal to change the name, Nanette! I am glad that you enjoyed the walk. 🙂
