In my last Jericho Walls variation Stash Buster post, I was at a crossroads on border treatments for my quilt flimsy.
I should probably have put a little pink border, followed by a wider black border and called it good.
It would have been.
Instead I chose to make four patches and border it with those.
It may be a bit overwhelming, but I am sticking with it anyway.
It now becomes a 48″ table topper (I have a large dining table) or wall hanging.
After I sandwich and quilt it of course.
In other news…
Betty Boop is back in the hospital.
I have nothing nice to say about her surgeon.
What kind of surgeon returns a beloved sewing machine that cannot be threaded, let alone stitch????
I didn’t take a photo of the poor girl, but her needle bar is placed so low that there was no access to thread it. I did manage…and we did sew this project together…we were gonna live with it. Until I put the free motion foot on. The needle bar is set so low that it can’t be used at all. Grrrrrrr!!!
Quilt On!

Malpractice! She was very brave to sew that topper, as were you, but what frustration!

Maybe it’s time to switch doctors. There must be somewhere else you can take her, although it may not be as convenient.

The big city is 2 hours away, but I’ll be making that trip in the future!

Hi Laura! I do not think the pink border is too much at all. Not that it matters what I think . . . but it is adorbs in my book. NO WAY. BB is back in the hospital??? WTH. You’ll have to leave a review on Yelp about that surgeon. They might face a life/death situation and not be able to handle it. Scary. And I’m sorry. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

I think the border is just fine. But, the news about Betty Boop is so disheartening….I hope it is a quick visit. They owe that to you at this point.

Thank you, Kathleen! I am told that it will be sometime in March before I can bring Betty Boop home. Grrrrr!!!

Doh! Sorry to hear the repair to Betty Boop was not done properly. Very disappointing. But the quilt top looks great – it has a lovely homely look to it.
