Border Creek Station sponsors a Stash Buster Challenge every year.
One block design is chosen and you only make one block a week for a total of 52 weeks. There is a Facebook group with plenty of participation and inspiration! There are lots of overachievers in the group!
I joined the group a couple of years ago, but have yet to take part in the challenge. This year will be different. I may not make 52 blocks, but I am making a few.
Stash Buster 2022 Challenge Jericho Walls Variation
I cut out enough fabric to make 9 blocks. My intention was to use the black (because I have a bolt of it in my stash).
Hmmmm…good thing I have a bolt of that dark pink to use up, too, since I’m sure not using much of the black!
I have never been a pink kind of gal, but I sure do think this block is pretty in pink!
And it is easy to sew!
9 blocks, sashing and a border already finished.
At this point, the quilt top measures approximately 37″. I am leaving it on the design wall until I can decide how to finish it. It will be a wall hanging or a table topper. I can’t decide whether to bind it now, or add another border to finish it.
To be continued.
Quilt On!

I think a border of pink could be pretty and tie it together.

I am considering a round of pink, and then a round of black. Thanks for your input! 🙂

Hmmm…looks like something I would like to try. Thanks for letting me know about it. Maybe in green and brown?

I am making the time. I am trying to schedule genealogy and sewing and life. Genealogy takes a considerable time, but my Ancestry subscription runs out in a couple of months, so I am cramming what I can, I won’t be renewing. I will replace genealogy with sewing, hiking, photography and gardening (maybe not much sewing) when nice weather comes. 🙂

You are getting a lot done this year! I love this little quilt and you will figure it out, when you want….and if you back it in the black, you have used a little more!

Thank you, Kathleen! I am considering that! 🙂 I am also thinking of making more blocks with other stash for more table toppers…maybe gifts? We’ll see what I can fit in this year; so much to do…so little time. Ha, ha! 🙂

Fun to make the easy ones! I think a 2” black border would frame the top quite well. Then you can add another border.
