Of All The Fire Mountains Which Like Beacons, Once Blazed Along The Pacific Coast, Mount Rainier Is The Noblest. β John Muir
I was blessed with a vacation, so Hubby and I drove to the West Coast and spent the time visiting our son and his family. While there we went to Mount Rainier, one of my family’s most favorite visited spots. October may just be the best time to visit the mountain for she shines in Autumn splendor!
We drove early to Paradise, and the mountain was shrouded, but the clouds burned off fairly quickly. The mist was in and out all day, but the day was still wonderful!
If you like Autumn color, and like a post with lots of photos, then come and walk with me!

Is it just me, or do you think of the Halloween Spirit when you look at the above photo?
Stay safe. Stay healthy.
See the world around you!

Hi Laura! WOW. Those pictures are just gorgeous and I know they only capture a small portion of the splendor. How overwhelmingly beautiful it must have been in person. Thanks for sharing! ~smile~ Roseanne

Many moons ago, hubs and I took a trip out west and spent a day or two exploring that area. We weren’t there in the fall – what gorgeous color! Thanks for sharing the photos with us!

I have been to Rainier in other seasons, too, and it is always beautiful! I am glad that you could visit the west and explore! I am hoping to explore east more at some point in my future! π

Glad to see it’s fall somewhere! I was there years ago in late summer.

It is alpine, so it has the cold temperatures to trigger the color. The temps are dropping where I live (in the northeast) so I am seeing color, too. Although I am in the mountains, I am not living in an alpine environment, so it is different. π

The colors there are amazing! We have mostly yellow and brown here, with just specialty trees and shrubs showing color here in town.

Yeah, there is nothing like the alpine environments in the fall! π

Stunning! It’s a long time since I’ve seen a mountain and Autumn colour is taking a long time to arrive here. Temperatures are due to drop at the weekend so maybe it will all arrive in a rush which could be very beautiful but nowhere near as spectacular as the scenes you’ve shared.
