Rest in Peace, Kallie, I’m so sorry Laura. True, cats can bring us all such love and delight. No one can truly understand how much a specific cat means to them but their owner.

  Kallie ( a rescue kitty) was born with just one partial kidney…not discovered until after she passed. The vet says she was a miracle…kitties with congenital kidney issues usually live less than a year. We were blessed!

So sorry you have been parted from Kallie.
Your quote from James Herriot made me smile. Lately we have been settling down for a bit of escapism watching episodes from the very first TV series. I read his books when I was a teenager.
