While visiting our daughter, she took us to a fabulous park known as Patrick’s Point. I would go back again and again and again if I could! I found this to be a magical place!

Patrick’s Point is 30 miles north of Eureka, California. It is a lush, 640 acre park that takes you to the jungle and to the seaside. There is so much to explore! The park has spectacular views and six miles of trails.
I took loads of photos…I couldn’t help myself…it is such a beautiful place!
Explore! Stay healthy and stay safe!

Oh this just adds to the mystique of Eureka in general…I’ve been watching episodes from the SciFi TV series, Eureka, on Amazon Prime.
I liked the place so much, even thought of moving there. But reality set in! HA!
What fun to enjoy this mystical place called Northern CA through your gorgeous photos, Laura.

I didn’t know that there was a TV series, Laura. I don’t have Amazon Prime, but my daughter does. I shall have to tell her to check it out! I probably (never say never) won’t be going back to this area…the Coast Guard has transferred the kids to North Carolina. I look forward to exploring that area at some point. 🙂

I’m in South Carolina at present. Maybe…we might meet up? At Zippy’s in Greensboro, NC as a meeting point? Who knows…fun to think about, though.
Eureka the show is very cool IMHO.

You are living there? It would definitely be fun to meet up if I can ever get there! The kids won’t be moving until late summer, so I know I won’t be visiting for quite a while yet. 🙂

Takes me back to my days as a back packer. For some reason I always felt a since of satisfaction when alone in the wilderness. Whether it was the Rocky Mountains, Chisos Mountains or where ever. I miss it.

I love the solitude in the wilderness! I try to get out and hike whenever I can, and it helps that I live in the mountains (I consider myself privileged on that count). I can certainly understand missing it! 🙂

Love these photos, it reminds me of Point Reyes but even more remote. We haven’t been to the coast of CA in a very long time, almost 30 years ago…adding to my list.

I grew up in California, and made several trips up and down the coast, but this is a place I haven’t been too before. Beautiful photos.
