My Mama keeps asking for an air conditioner cover, and I keep hoping she will forget.
She never forgets…must be part elephant.
So I finally chose a pretty pink rose print (to complement her sofa) and made a cover for her air conditioner.
I don’t have a photo. Mama doesn’t have the cover yet, either. I was hoping to be able to bring it to her by her birthday, but…you know, COVID and all that.
Soon, Mom! (Yes…she reads my posts!)
Since I don’t have sewing related photos (I have done some quilting), I am giving you a photo heavy post of a walk I took earlier this week.
I am super blessed to have Marcus Island across the street from me…I love to visit here!

“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.”
– George Eliot
“THERE is something in the autumn that is native to my blood—
Touch of manner, hint of mood;
And my heart is like a rhyme,
With the yellow and the purple and the crimson keeping time.”
― Bliss Carman
“If a year was tucked inside of a clock, then autumn would be the magic hour.”
– Victoria Erickson
“Come, little leaves,” said the Wind one day, “Come to the meadows with me and play. Put on your dresses of red and gold; For Summer is past, and the days grow cold.”

“Let whoever wants to, relax in the south,
And bask in the garden of paradise.
Here is the essence of north and it’s autumn
I’ve chosen as this year’s friend.”

Hi Laura! HAHAHAHAHA! Your Mom has a memory like an elephant. I think that is a requirement for being a Mom. My Mom was exactly like that, God Bless them both. I’m so glad you acquiesced and made the cover and in some pretty fabrics that she will like. WOW – all that beauty right across the street from your house?!! How fabulously gorgeous. God does good work. {{Hugs}} Be patient, Laura’s Mom – you will have your A/C cover soon! ~smile~ Roseanne

I am glad that I have given in to her wish, too, Rosanne. It wasn’t such a big ordeal after all. Snicker!

Thank you for sharing your walk and the inspiring quotes. How lovely to have such wonderful views on your doorstep.
I am struggling to make a gift for my parents – funny how this can be a problem. I love them so much and they’ve never put pressure on me to be something I’m not but still I’m anxious my gift will not be good enough! Totally daft I know as I’d never be critical of a handmade gift given to me by one of my children!
Covid restrictions are going to change our plans too. It’s tough having to make decisions that keep family apart when usually we’d be making every effort to get together.

Of course your gift, whatever it is, will be wonderful, Allison! It shows your love in a tangible way! 🙂
I am really struggling with ignoring the Covid lockdown, and driving to my family! This is hard!
