In my last post, I settled on a bow tie layout. Since then I have sewn the 3.5″ bow tie blocks into groups of 16 (4 x 4), and then into a larger block of 64 (8 x 8). I have two of those big blocks finished, and I definitely like what I see.
I am hoping that I made enough bow tie blocks to sew into 12 of these bigger blocks for a quilt.
Remember the Floral Reflections project?
All of the stitching in the ditch is done. All of the outline stitching is finished. All of the basting pins are removed.
Time to get serious about how to quilt this baby.
* Just a quick note…progress is likely to be slower than my usual slow. I will be working seven days a week. It isn’t scheduled yet, but it is inevitable until after the holidays.
Quilt On!

So beautiful!! Love this one!! ????

These are both very inspiring things to spend a few minutes on, when you want to sew just a bit. Hope the next two months aren’t too taxing!

Hi Laura! I love the direction that the bow ties are going – you’ve made great progress with them. I’m sorry you have to work seven days a week. Is that through the end of the year? At least Christmas is 8 weeks from tomorrow. ~smile~ Roseanne

That Bow Tie layout just gets better and better. I really like the way the blocks meet up and create repeats of the pattern.

Thank you, Laura! I usually sink into depression this time of year, but maybe I have a handle on it this year. Supportive friends, like you, do help! 🙂
