In yesterday’s post, I focused on some of the animals in Yellowstone National Park. Today, I am focusing on some geology in a picture heavy post.
When Hubby and I visited Yellowstone last year, we did not have the opportunity to see this magnificent geologic feature of the park.

We took an evening stroll on the boardwalk.

Strolling the boardwalk is a great way to take in details, but if one wants to see the magnitude of the Grand Prismatic, than one needs to hike to the overlook.
That is exactly what Hubby and I did the next morning.
I am sharing this last photo because I think that it is way cool that I captured two reflections from these standing dead trees!
See the world around you!
Stay healthy! Stay safe!

There’s a new quilt design and color palette in these photos, I’m sure of it!

I agree the colours are amazing and very inspiring. Looking at your photos I get the sense of the depths of the Earth coming to the surface giving us just a little glimpse of the chemical soup and the incredible heat way beneath us.

Allison, I think of caverns and such as well. The next post especially makes me think of caves because of all of the mineral activity, and the color one sees when one shines a flashlight on the stalactites and stalagmites…sort of like viewing the earth from the inside out. 🙂

The colors on the hot streams are other worldly aren’t they? What a truly amazing place,
