If I counted correctly (and that is questionable), then I should have 768 bow tie blocks in this basket.
That is enough to sew these into bigger blocks for a layout.

Hubby made a frame for the Farm Girl stitchery, so she is completely finished and ready for gifting!
I love how she turned out!
The birdhouse project (I really should name this thing) has gone from the designing stage to the fused applique stage.
I really like it now…definitely enough to finish it!
This is my first post using the ‘new’ WordPress editor. I am a bit lost, but I am figuring it out. Except that I cannot seem to make photos clickable anymore. Hmmmmm?
*I have figured out how to make my photos clickable! At least for now!
Quilt On!

The new editor is a little tricky. Things don’t happen like they did before. Farm girl looks great! Can’t wait to see fancy quilting on the birdhouse.

I don’t like the new editor, but I will learn it eventually, and then it will be okay.
Machine applique is up next for the birdhouse, and then I’ll think about how to quilt it. Thanks, Donna! 🙂

I just clicked in your photos and they opened up as just the photo, so it must be working! Love the bird house with sunflowers and all those bow ties, wow!

Thanks, Kathy! That is the way that I like to have my photos…hopefully, I can keep it that way. I am good for now, anyway. 🙂
That birdhouse has become a fun diversion! Ha, ha!

That is a lot of bow ties! They are only 3.5″, so it takes a lot for a good sized quilt…which is what I want to do.
Thank you, Margaret! 🙂

I clicked on your original post to ‘date’ the ‘cheddar’ because I remember using it in a few embroidery items (with lime green floss, no less!) in the late 1970s. Turns out that color is still around – and as it is with cilantro, you either love it or hate it. I love it! (both)
But, darn, that’s alot of bow ties!

What goes around, comes around…so it is with cheddar (I do not, however, want to see avocado appliances back). I love the cheddar, also, Laura. I wonder what you made with the lime green floss…pillow covers or maybe tablecloths?
Stitching up the bow ties slowly…filling small blocks of time, or time when nothing else is calling me…makes the creating of all those bow ties pretty easy. 🙂

The one I remember vividly was a direct design application of Durango, Colorado’s logo with related narrow gauge engine which was then framed. It was about 12×12 in size. This was embroidered as a remembrance of our honeymoon and given as a first ‘married’ Christmas gift to hubby. Gee, that takes me back! Also, I haven’t a clue if I still have it!

That’s a basket full of bow tie loveliness! I do like a leader and ender project on the go but I generally get carried away and it becomes the main project! Farm girl looks nice sitting in her new frame too.

Yes, Sarah…that bow tie project may become a main project soon! 🙂

Hi Laura! WOWEE! That is a lot of bow tie blocks. I didn’t know there was a trick to make the pictures clickable. Hmmm. The new editor is something else. I find I have to go back and forth between the new and classic editor sometimes but I’ve trying to get rid of that crutch. Some features are really nice. ~smile~ Roseanne

I just haven’t made the time to learn the new editor…now I am forced to. Ha, ha!

The frame for Farm Girl is perfect. I’m glad you persevered with the Bird House – funny how an abandoned project could become a favourite 🙂

The frame is made from wood from a torn down chicken coop…it is great to be able to repurpose it!
I really don’t like to abandon projects, so I am glad that I stuck with the birdhouse. It wasn’t that hard to come up with a plan…just needed to force myself to make the time.😉
