Something gracious to read this Saturday morning…thanks.
I’ve never seen a ‘Geum’ before…almost reminds me of a type of primrose. And as for that medicinal Black Cohash…ahhh yes, I remember it well!

I bought a geum plant from a nursery while visiting with son and fam last year. It is a favorite nursery for daughter-in-law and myself to get into trouble. Ha, ha!
Anyhow…that plant surprised me by blooming again this past spring and summer…I figured that it wouldn’t make it through the winter. Since I learned that it can survive the winter, I went and bought another one. So I now have a red and an orange, and maybe I’ll get another one next year!
I love the black cohosh! I have had this one for quite a few years now. It makes such a great contrast with the ground cover that I have. I am still waiting for it to bloom this year. The buds are there, so maybe soon, weather permitting.
Have a wonderful weekend, Laura! 🙂

It is good to meditate on grace. We will be studying Ephesians in our Housegroup later this term: ‘For it is by grace you have been saved… not by works… ‘ Ephesians 2:8
I liked seeing a close up of the courgette. We are still picking them from our allotment. A rogue courgette plant has recently germinated in the spot where I had a compost bin. I wonder if it will have time to flower and fruit before the first frost?

I just learned something, Allison! I say zucchini, and you say courgette! Fun to learn! 🙂
Grace…a quality that I need to practice much more!

Don’t we all! Especially in these times when there are so many opportunities to be judgmental – I catch myself at this so often!
‘You say Zucchini, I say Courgette, let’s NOT call the whole thing off!’ 😀
