I have decided not to participate in OMG (One Monthly Goal) this month. I feel a little overwhelmed…so much to do and not enough time. Which is ridiculous because setting goals with OMG has really helped me to get things done. It must be the public accountability. LOL!
In reality, I simply to need to focus…little by little, inch by inch, everything is a cinch.
Ahem.
Will someone come and paint my living room for me? I just wanna sew! Ha, ha!
I do have an update on my Candace quilt for you.
As I previously stated, nothing is fused, so if I decide to change something I can easily do so.
She wore glittery blue eye shadow that day.
No…that is not a unicorn horn sticking out of her head. Ha, ha! Maybe you can guess why that piece is there?

You should do whatever works for you. I usually pick a OMG even if I know I won’t finish it just to keep me focused.

You are right, of course. I think I am tired. I way overslept this morning. I have today off, so a visit with Mom is in order and a dinner out. It’ll it do me good! 🙂

My guess: a reference-scrap for keeping in mind certain values of pieces as you put your project together?
You got me!
Thanks for the reveal-in-progress, I hope you’re enjoying the process.

That is a great guess, Laura! However, it is the part in her hair. I want to get all the skin complete before I move on. Mostly because my table top is a tumbled mess of fabric and I can’t use it for anything else. 🙂
Yes, I am enjoying the process. It was tough to begin, but now I find myself talking to Candace (she is here in spirit). ‘Oh…do you like this glittery blue satin? I hope so…it is all I can find that works. I don’t want to go shopping for little bits.’ 🙂

The hair part makes sense, but I didn’t have my Picasso glasses on so couldn’t see it till you said so!

I wouldn’t have a clue where to start with this! I think it is coming along well with your fabric choices. I can see Candace clearly!

Seeing your Candace image emerging is fascinating.
I know what you feel about being overwhelmed. Sometimes deadlines are helpful other times they can be a burden or too restricting. I try to stick at projects but there are times when it is way more refreshing to break away and do something different without feeling guilty 🙂 Funnily enough I have chosen to join in OMG this month – first time in ages!
