Remember the Aunt Bea Parlor embroidery quilt?
Yeah…it has been a while.
I think that October 2017 was the last time that I shared anything about it.
I put the quilt on a hanger and left it in the closet. Why, I wonder?
I may have been having a border issue, as in…my border wasn’t fitting the way the pattern said. Maybe I got frustrated.
And, no maybes about it, when I am done with this project, I will not be cutting triangles for borders before the top is sewn together.
For now, I will be satisfied to lose points and get the top done!
So that is my goal for May.
I am linking up with Elm Street Quilts to keep me accountable and motivated!

Nice quilt. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and good luck with your project.

Pretty and I remember it as I have mine waiting to be traced on the pattern! It is best to just get it done!
So there are problems with the border – saved me some heartache Laura!
The quilt will be pretty either way – hand quilting or machine quilting?

Nanette…I am sure you will read your pattern better than I read mine. And don’t cut the large colored corner triangles ahead of time. The pattern says to cut 5 and 1/8 squares in half for those pieces. That was too small for me. Better to cut them larger and square off after sewing. Anyway…I will get these borders done!
No idea how I am going to quilt it yet.

Hi Laura! No one but you will ever examine this piece as harshly as you. Points lost will never be noticed – they will enjoy the warmth and prettiness it provides. Great OMG project for this month. ~smile~ Roseanne

These baskets remind me of the quilt your Grandmother once did. I think it was her only one and it finally disintegrated.

Finished is better than perfect. No one will notice, but if it bothers you could make a design decision and either cover them or add spacers.

I agree with you…it does not bother me enough to change it. Onward! 🙂

It’s a very pretty quilt, I understand your frustration when the last border won’t fit, I had similar issues with my Down the Rabbit Hole quilt, I ignored lost points and changed the corner block to make it work. Good luck with the finish 🙂
