Lest you think I spent all that time on the coast and never saw the beach, here are a very few photos of beach time.
Hubby and I went with our daughter and her fam. It was late afternoon, and we were looking direct into the sun. The sun was extremely bright, but the beach was also extremely cold and windy!
*Clicking on a photo will give you a closer look.
Truth be known, by this time I had a sore throat, and didn’t particularly care to get the settings right on my little power shot camera to take photos.
But it was fun to watch the grandchildren play, and I am always mesmerized by the ocean!

I do hope that you are feeling better Laura! We are getting rain! About 5″ or so in the last 2 weeks and our grass is growing again! You get better and love the picture of the water. I love to sit by the water! So relaxing! Hugs

Yes, I am getting better, thank you. I work all day today, and I am getting through it! 🙂
Happy that your grass is growing! Green is good for the soul, too!

I was amazed when we went to San Fran for Girl #2’s graduation, that the beach is incredibly windy and cold!

Thank you, Margaret! I haven’t been this sick in years but I am on the mend now. 🙂
The driftwood is amazing, and it is in abundance. There are some places where one cannot collect the wood from the beach.

We stayed with a friend in a beach side house recently, and I asked her if she ever got sick of the view. She admitted that she spends much more time than she should just looking at the colours and movement of the sea, and she has lived with that view for about ten years.

My son was born by the sea…I loved living by it! I also love living in the woods, as I am now. I need a place right between the two. 🙂

We are spending the weekend at the seaside. The beach is very pebbly. This morning we watched gulls taking advantage of the tide being out to go searching for mussels. The birds brought the mussels up to the promenade and cracked the shells open on the concrete!
Hope you are soon feeling better.
