There are a lot of bowl cozy tutorials to be found online. I used Beth Huntington’s tutorial at eHow.

Laura, these are great gifts. I would encourage a note to the recipient that they should not use for more than 2 mins in the microwave and to wash before reusing if something should spill. Dried on food is highly combustible in the microwave. Better yet, just use it for carrying the soup to the table.
