We are hard at work, rotary cutting the pieces for the quilt.
Jalene brought her sewing machine with her. She has never used it (but her grandmother has). It had never been cleaned, so we talked about how to clean and care for it. In the above photo, Jalene is learning how to sew a 1/4″ seam and making four-patches. I sent her home with homework…lots of four-patches!
And the above photos show a much more confident Jalene! She finished the four patches and is doing great piecing the top! She’ll finish the top at home, and the next time we meet, we’ll be adding borders.
