And turning the blocks:
This simple little block is so versatile; it is a great one to choose for quick and easy projects, baby quilts, modern quilts and more!
Laura,

So do I judy. I’m hoping to show quilters the difference between setting a block side-by-side, and calling it good, and trying some alternate settings with just a few small changes. We don’t have to be fancy and artsy to achieve something wonderful with a traditional block.

Laura,
A woman after my own heart!
Directional blocks like Carrie Nation can be twisted and turned every which way, and some of those ways will create wonderful designs as you have shown.
