Fabric Bucket/Basket

I need a basket for my tea things, so I thought that I would make one.

Cute basket, but I should have paid more attention to what size I need.

This one is too small and I will be making a bigger size.

I like the basket, and I will find a purpose for it!

The little teacup is quite fragile. My grandmother served hot chocolate to my mother when she was a little girl. I have the whole set; the pot, the sugar bowl, the creamer, and four cups and saucers. I don’t use the set. I just enjoy having it.

Personally, I prefer a nice big mug of tea! How about you? Do you have a favorite teacup or mug for your beverage?

Family Visit

Since the first day of my visit with my son and fam, through today, the western part of Washington state has been experiencing an atmospheric river; a deluge of rain.

I haven’t minded it (I do love the sound of rain), but it cleared enough today to have a much needed day out.

My daughter-in-law and I went to a tea tasting party. We learned some historical facts, some agriculture facts, and tasted a variety of tea. We learned about the properties of the various teas and how to properly prepare them. It was informative and fun!

It was also fun to be encouraged by the crocus blooming in the backyard when we came home from the party!
