Bucks in the Garden

Sunday was a very pleasant and relaxing winter day for Hubby and me.

Hubby enjoyed working on his model projects, and I spent the day working on sewing projects.

And we both enjoyed the view right outside our window.

The Morning After a Winter Snowstorm

Winter in the Backyard

I live in the shadow of a mountain, so it takes a while for the sun to shine on my home.  The above photo is what my backyard looked like this morning.

The next photo shows the sunrise from the front of my home.  You can also see part of my driveway.

Winter Sunrise

I am not a photographer, so having light and shadow is a difficult shot for me.

Winter Morning

I wanted to show a UFO that I have been diligently working on.  I guess I haven’t been diligent enough, but it is getting close.

Remember this?  (I’m not surprised if you don’t!)

The Beauty of a Snowstorm

There is a privacy about it which no other season gives you…. In spring,  summer and fall people sort of have an open season on each other; only in the  winter, in the country, can you have longer, quiet stretches when you can savor belonging to yourself.  ~Ruth Stout

These photos are views of my yard and were taken the morning after a snowstorm last week.

Enjoy (especially for my friend, Judy)!
