A Quick Project

Remember the quick and easy project that I began when the power was out (click here)?

I found a free pattern online called Sugar Town.

Alyssa's Quilt

I am not a sweet pink, baby blue girlie type of gal, but I have a little girl in mind who I think will love this quilt.

I have had fun taking time out to sew this up.

I changed the original pattern just a bit.  I added setting triangles and corners to my version.

The quilt top is as big as the garage door.  Ha, ha!

Power Outage? Sew What!

I had an entire afternoon off from the day job, so I planned to spend it working on a new project.  No deadlines, not doing housework, no have to do because…; just for the fun of it.

We were in the midst of our first blizzard of the season.  A cozy afternoon with a pot of tea and in my favorite space of the house would be heaven on earth.

But when I came home, the power was out.

Sew what!  Light the lamps and the woodstove, and all is well!

Power Outage

It was out for twelve hours!

Hunter’s Star Finish

I began my Hunter’s Star project in September, 2013.  I got as far as the borders, and stalled out.

Then it became my UFO Goal for May 2017.  I got the top pin-basted into a quilt sandwich and began quilting.

I am so happy to be able to announce that my Hunter’s Star version is finished!

Woohoo!

May OMG 2017 Update

For my Hunter’s Star project, I used the Inklingo Hunter’s Star 9 Inch collection from Linda Franz at her Inklingo website.
