I have shared a lot from The Buffalo Bill Center of the West, but there is so much more to see. Again, I highly recommend visiting this fantastic complex of museums that contains a research library featuring art and artifacts of the American West, and includes the Draper Natural History Museum, the Plains Indian Museum, the Cody Firearms Museum, the Whitney Western Art Museum, and the Buffalo Bill Museum.

To the right of those beautiful spoons is an item called a tipi knocker…the Native American version of the door knocker:

Made from porcupine quills:
